Shoulder Pain? Trouble Raising Your Arm?

One of the most common complaints I see is restricted shoulder mobility — also known as frozen shoulder.

During a manual assessment, I evaluate all shoulder movement directions (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, rotations) to determine which tissue (muscle, tendon, joint capsule or fascia) is causing the restriction.

During treatment, I frequently use Muscle Energy Technique (MET), which gently releases tight muscles through the patient's own muscle activation — restoring shoulder mobility and reducing pain.

Neck or Back Pain?

The first step of treatment is a thorough manual examination of the spine.

I palpate along the four-layered erector spinae muscle group — from the superficial to the deepest layer — because their tone and tension reveal precisely which spinal segment has restricted movement.

By comparing movement directions (flexion, extension, rotation, lateral flexion), I can determine where a given segment is not moving freely. This helps identify the functional block that may be causing pain, muscle tension or postural deviation.

A full hands-on examination of the spine is essential because dysfunctions affect each other in a chain — a neck problem can originate from the pelvis.

What Is Safe Laser, and How Does It Work in Sports Rehabilitation?

Safe Laser works through biostimulation: the laser acts on the cells' mitochondria, enhancing ATP production and stimulating oxidative processes.

Cell mitochondria respond differently to different wavelengths of light.
The strongest therapeutic effect is achieved with:

  • Red light (660 nm)
  • Infrared light (808 nm) → the highest-power medical soft laser currently available (Safe Laser 1800W) operates at this wavelength.

📚 Multiple studies confirm that low-level laser therapy (LLLT / photobiomodulation) is effective in treating sports injuries.
Anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects:

  • Reducing inflammation: elevated serotonin levels, activation of anti-inflammatory molecules
  • Pain relief: endorphin release → central pain-reduction mechanism

Safe Laser treatment is frequently used for the following conditions:

  • Tennis elbow (epicondylitis) / tendinitis
  • Bursitis (e.g. shoulder bursitis)
  • Lower back pain, lumbar complaints
  • Neck pain, cervical complaints
  • Knee ligament injuries, joint inflammation
  • As a complement to trigger point therapy: targeted Safe Laser treatment on manually located trigger points

📣 Struggling with recurring joint or muscle pain? Come in for a consultation! I'll show you how Safe Laser 1800W can help you return to everyday activity without pain or movement restrictions.
